How to convert PNG to PDF
This converter runs entirely in your web browser, so there is nothing to install and no account to create. It works on Windows, Mac, Chromebooks, and phones in any modern browser.
PNG files are placed into the PDF without recompression. Screenshots, charts, diagrams, and scanned pages keep every sharp edge and every line of small text exactly as they were.
- Click Choose PNG images, or drag and drop your PNG files onto the drop zone.
- Check the file list. Use the up and down arrows to change the order, or the × to remove a file you added by mistake.
- Pick a page size and a margin in the options.
- Click Convert to PDF. The PDF downloads automatically, and a download button also appears in case you need it again.
How to merge multiple PNG files into one PDF
Merging is the default here. Every image you add becomes one page, and all pages go into a single PDF in the order shown in the list. You can add up to 100 images at once, so a folder of screenshots or a multi-page scan saved as separate PNGs becomes one tidy document.
Your computer can also do this without a separate tool. On a Mac, Preview can open several images together and export or print them as one PDF. On Windows, you can select images, choose Print, and pick Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer. Both work, but the print route tends to resize images to a paper size and add its own margins, and getting the page order right can take some trial and error.
This tool is easier when order matters or when you want each page to match the image exactly. You see the full list before converting, rearrange it with arrows, and choose whether pages should match each image or fit a standard sheet.
Page size and margin options
Same as image is the default. Each page is sized to its PNG, so there is no white border and no scaling. This is the right choice for screenshots, slides, and anything that will be read on screen.
US Letter and A4 put every image on a standard sheet, which is what you want if the PDF will be printed or submitted somewhere that expects regular pages. Wide images turn the page to landscape automatically. Images are scaled down to fit and centered, but never enlarged, so small graphics will not turn blurry.
The margin setting offers No margin, Small, or Large. A small margin keeps content away from the edge of the paper, which helps when a printer cannot print right to the edge.
Privacy and limits
Your PNG files are processed in your browser on your own device. They are never uploaded to PaperPorter, which matters when the images are screenshots of bank statements, medical portals, ID documents, or anything else you would rather keep to yourself.
You can convert up to 100 images per PDF, and each image can be up to 25 MB. The tool also accepts JPG, HEIC, WebP, GIF, and BMP files, so you can mix formats in one document. It does not read or recognize text in your images; the PDF contains the pictures as they are.
Tips for better PNG to PDF results
Name files in order before adding them. If your screenshots are named page-01, page-02, and so on, they will usually land in the right order and you will have less rearranging to do.
Transparent PNGs keep their transparency. Because PNGs are embedded losslessly, transparent areas stay transparent and show as the page background in most PDF viewers, which is normally white. If a logo looks odd, check it against a white background before converting.
Use Same as image for screenshots. A tall phone screenshot on a Letter page gets scaled down to fit the height and becomes hard to read. Keeping the original size avoids that.
Crop afterward if needed. If an image has extra blank space around it, you can trim the finished PDF with the crop tool instead of editing each PNG.

How do I convert a PNG to a PDF for free?
Add your PNG to the converter at the top of this page and click Convert to PDF. It is free, needs no sign-up, and the PDF downloads straight to your device.
Can I merge multiple PNG files into one PDF?
Yes. Add up to 100 PNG images, arrange them with the up and down arrows, and they are combined into one PDF with one image per page.
Does converting PNG to PDF reduce quality?
No. PNG images are embedded losslessly, so the PDF shows exactly the same pixels as your original files.
Are my PNG files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser on your own device, and your files are never uploaded to PaperPorter.
How do I convert PNG to PDF on a Mac or Windows PC?
This tool works in any modern browser on both. You can also use Preview on a Mac or Microsoft Print to PDF on Windows, though those may resize images to a paper size.
Can I make the PDF pages A4 or Letter size?
Yes. Choose US Letter or A4 in the page size option. Images are scaled down to fit, centered, and wide images get landscape pages.
