Connect PaperPorter to ChatGPT

Add PaperPorter through ChatGPT Plugins. Connect to the server below, sign in to PaperPorter, and approve access to your own form drafts. No API key is needed.

Connect in ChatGPT

1. Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Your plan or workspace policy must allow it.
2. Open Plugins and select the + button.
3. Name the connection PaperPorter. Description: Find approved permit forms, answer questions, and download the official PDF.
4. Under Connection, use the public HTTPS endpoint below. If an authentication choice appears, choose OAuth.
5. Create the connection. Sign in on the PaperPorter page and approve access. Your PaperPorter password is not shared with ChatGPT.
6. Start a new conversation and enable PaperPorter from the tools menu.

First test

Use PaperPorter to find the approved Danville reroof questionnaire. Show the official source and the questions I need to answer. Do not generate a PDF until I review the answers and confirm.

What should happen?

ChatGPT calls search_forms and get_form_requirements, then shows the form and questions. After you provide answers, it can save a draft and validate it. Generation requires your confirmation of the saved revision.

If the connection needs refreshing

Open PaperPorter in Plugins and select Refresh, then start a new conversation. If Developer mode or the + button is unavailable, check your account and workspace policy.

OpenAI's official plugin connection instructions. The live OAuth and MCP fill-and-download workflow has been tested. ChatGPT's UI still needs your account's final connection step.

Why sign in?

OAuth keeps saved answers and generated PDFs private to you. It does not grant upload or administrator access. Public browser filling requires no sign-in.
